ANALYSIS OF COMPONENT AVAILABILITY AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF CULTURAL TOUR PACKAGES IN TOBA REGENCY NORTH SUMATERA

Abstract

This study aims to describe the formulation of itineraries and the cost calculation of cultural tourism packages in the Toba Regency region, North Sumatra, emphasizing cultural and historical aspects supplemented by natural tourism. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing data collection techniques including observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The results indicate that the tour package itinerary was compiled systematically through the selection of primary destinations, such as the T.B. Silalahi Center Museum, Meat Tourism Village, Lumban Gaol Tourism Village, and Batikta Souvenir Shop. The itinerary was designed using a thematic approach that integrates local cultural and historical attractions with supporting services, including transportation, tour guides, meals, and accommodation. Furthermore, the tour package pricing was calculated by separating fixed and variable costs, and establishing a profit margin to determine the selling price per participant. The resulting tour package aims to provide a comprehensive two day experience for tourists, while simultaneously supporting local cultural preservation and community empowerment. This study is expected to serve as a practical reference for the development of effective and sustainable tourism packages in the Lake Toba regency.
