About TECD FORUM 2026

Tourism, Environment and Community Development: International Tourism Forum 2026 (TECD FORUM 2026) is an international academic forum organized by Makassar Tourism Polytechnic that brings together researchers, academics, practitioners, policymakers, industry professionals, and community stakeholders to discuss contemporary issues and innovative solutions in tourism, environmental sustainability, and community development.

The forum serves as a multidisciplinary platform for the dissemination of research findings, exchange of knowledge, and promotion of collaborative initiatives that contribute to sustainable economic growth, socio-cultural preservation, environmental conservation, and community empowerment. TECD FORUM 2026 encourages scholarly discussions on sustainable tourism development, ecotourism, cultural heritage management, environmental stewardship, destination management, digital transformation in tourism, community-based tourism, and related fields.

With the theme “Strengthening Partnership and Collaboration for Economic, Socio-cultural and Environmental Sustainability,” TECD FORUM 2026 aims to foster international cooperation and knowledge sharing among scholars and practitioners in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Selected papers presented at the forum will undergo a peer-review process and be published in conference proceedings and partner academic publications.

TECD FORUM 2026 is committed to advancing high-quality research and practical innovations that promote responsible tourism, environmental sustainability, and inclusive community development at local, national, and global levels.
