    The 1st Proceedings Ā International Conference on Marine Tourism and Hospitality Studies, held on October 13, 2024, at Hotel The Rinra, Makassar, Indonesia, serves as a significant platform for disseminating research findings and community service outcomes in the fields of marine tourism and hospitality. Organized by Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar, the conference aims to connect tourism researchers globally, facilitating knowledge exchange and promoting advancements in marine tourism. The event accommodates both offline and online participation, ensuring inclusivity and broad engagement from various stakeholders in the tourism sector.

    The conference follows a well-structured timeline that enhances collaboration and innovation within the marine tourism domain. The Call for PapersĀ  was initiated on June 1, 2024, inviting scholars to submit their research. Abstracts were accepted from June 1 to August 31, 2024, followed by the submission of full papers from June 1 to September 30, 2024. Registration for the event was open from June 1 to October 5, 2024. This systematic approach culminates in the presentation and publication of selected papers, contributing to the sustainable development of marine tourism through academic discourse, bridging local and global perspectives.
